Why LandClearly exists

Land-clearing prices are hard to compare when you do not know what each contractor has included. Thick growth, large trees, narrow access and the finish you need all change the time and equipment involved.

LandClearly helps you describe that work before you seek a quote. Answer a few questions about your land to see a planning range, a likely clearing method, expected machine days and what the estimate leaves out.

Brian Pedersen is the founder of LandClearly. He leads research direction, product development and editorial work.

How we research

We audited 20 published pricing sources, keeping each publisher's price with its stated work rather than turning them into a single average. Our county-level population and wildfire research is another example of how we show the data and its limits. For estimates, documented production guidance and market day-rate evidence feed a rule-based model. The methodology page explains how that model works and where it falls short.

What we will and won't claim

We show what published figures cover, explain our assumptions and label uncertainty. LandClearly does not perform clearing or publish contractor ratings or directories. We cannot promise coverage in every area or give a guaranteed price from a questionnaire. Only a contractor who has assessed your property can give you a quote.
